Banana NFC Juice and Juice Concentrate
The Banana or fruit from the latin genus Musa is native to Southeast Asia. In general, it is grown in Ecuador, Costa Rica and Brazil. The fruit of the Banana tree start off dark green and gradually turn yellow or red. The flesh, ivory-white to yellow, may be stringent, even gummy with latex when unripe, turning tender, sweet and slippery when ripe. The flavour may be mild/sweet or acidic with a distinct apple tone.
Bananas are a source of vitamin A and C, traces of vitamins B1, B2 and B6 and are rich in potassium.

Interesting Facts
- The trunk of a banana palm is really a compact mass of intertwined leaves. It shoots up from the roots of the plant and only bears fruit once.
- Bananas are harvested unripe, because ripe ones tend to burst open and become floury and lose their taste. Green bananas post-ripen better than any other fruit, and ethylene gas is used to help turn them yellow.
