Pear NFC Juice or Pear Juice Concentrate
Pears or Pyrus communis can be consumed fresh, canned, as juice, and dried. The juice can be used in juices, jellies and jams, usually in combination with other fruits and berries. Fermented pear juice is called perry or pear cider. Pears are rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, E1, copper and potassium. China is the largest producer of pears worldwide.
Main production areas are Argentina, Chile, Italy and Spain.

Interesting Facts
- They are part of the rose family and are cultivated in all temperate zone countries of both Hemispheres.
- Pears are susceptible to fire blight; therefore the cultivation of these trees in regions with warm and humid climates is limited to only certain blight-resistant varieties, which unfortunately do not produce as high-quality fruits.
