E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of Apple Pulp. It is produced by using ripe apples which have been smashed not too much so the product is thicker than a puree, then pasteurised. It is treated with as little heat as possible to give a nice, fresh tasting product.
We source the majority of our Apple Pulp from Spain, however other countries we source from include Germany, Italy and Poland.

It is normally supplied aseptically as it has undergone heat treatment, it is supplied Aseptic in Drums or Bags in Boxes.
Our Apple Pulp is sourced from BRC (or equivalent) factories. We have been working with these factories for a long time as their agent within the UK.

Question – What products is Apple Pulp used in?
Answer – It is used in fruit compotes, baby food and pie fillings as a few examples. Apple Puree is thin and viscous whereas Apple Pulp has more texture and larger pieces of fruit can be seen which makes it more suited to these products.
Question – Are you able to source Apple Pulp made from a specific variety of Apples?
Answer – Yes, we can indeed we can source specific varieties ones we have worked with recently include Bramley and Golden.
Question – When is the best time to buy Apple Pulp?
Answer – The season in Europe runs from September to November and is when prices will be most competitive and contracts can be made for the year.
