We supply the majority of our Apricot Puree from Spain and Greece.  The climate is much more desirable here for growing Apricots as it is nice and sunny!

The blooming period is very important for the Apricot trees as this is where the fruit develops on the tree. If a hailstorm or frost happens during this time it could ruin all the fruit on the tree.

An Apricot grower will have lots of Apricot trees in an Orchard and they will look after the fruit until they are at optimum ripeness ready for picking. Once the Apricots are picked from the trees, they must be delivered quickly to the factory to be manufactured into Puree.

It is manufactured by heating and sieving ripe Apricot’s to make a smooth puree ensuring all the stones are removed. The product is Aseptic to give a long shelf life (18 months) however the heat treatment is short to ensure the Apricot Puree has a fresh taste.

We can supply the Apricot Puree in three different types –

  • Standard
  • Organic
  • Baby Food Grade

It is used in lots of different applications in the UK Food Industry. Applications include –

  • Ice Cream
  • Sauces
  • Jam
  • Smoothies
  • Baby Food
  • Yoghurts

Our Apricot Puree is sourced from BRC (or equivalent) factories. We have been working with these factories for a long time as their agent within the UK.

We are happy to supply samples, specifications and prices for more information please contact enquiries@eebriansmith.com or 01844 239500.
