E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of Banana Puree. It is produced from ripe Bananas which are smashed down to form a puree and is then pasteurised. It is often acidified with Lemon Juice or Ascorbic Acid to stop the banana puree oxidation process. The Brix level is normally ranges from 20 – 24 Brix.
We can source standard or Organic Banana Puree if required. We source our Banana Puree from Costa Rica, but other countries of origin include Guatemala, India, Ecuador and Brazil.
It is Aseptic as it has undergone heat treatment and is supplied in Drums or Bags in Boxes.
Banana Puree is often used in the following applications –
- Baby Food
- Smoothies
- Cocktails
- Bakery products
- Yoghurts
It is a popular puree to add to Smoothies with other fruits such as Strawberry, Passionfruit, Mango and Apple.
We always source our Banana Puree from a BRC or equivalent factory which has also been audited by our own in house technical team.

Question – What is the shelf life on Aseptic Banana Puree?
Answer – The shelf life is 12 months from production date.
Question – Can you freeze Banana Puree?
Answer – Yes, you can freeze it however the Aseptic Bag in Boxes or Drums would need to be filled with less volume to allow room for expansion when frozen or it can be put into plastic pails instead. By freezing the it the shelf life extends to 24 months.
