E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of Bergamot Oil. Bergamot is a citrus fruit which has a light green flesh covered in green/yellow peel and the peel is very thick. It is mainly grown in Italy in the Calabria region. 80% of the world’s Bergamot comes from Calabria! It is also grown in France and Africa’s Ivory Coast.
We can source two types of Bergamot Oil –
- Cold Pressed
- Blend of Cold Pressed and Refined
Oil is obtained by mechanical pressing of the Bergamot peel and centrifuged. The oil is filtered and drummed for shipping. The oil contains a high level of aroma and is light to dark green in colour.
We source all our Bergamot Oil from our supplier in Sicily who we have been working with for many years as their agent in the UK. The factory is BRC (or equivalent) certified and has also been audited by our own in house technical team.
Bergamot Oil is used in Earl Grey Tea production and in perfume and cosmetics production.
