E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of Blood Orange Pulp with Peel. Blood Orange is a type of Orange with a crimson flesh which is often referred to as almost blood coloured. The flesh of the Orange is dark due to the presence of anthocyanin. Blood Oranges have a distinct taste to other Oranges and are often referred to as having a Raspberry taste.
Blood Orange Pulp with Peel is an aseptic product which is processed by the peel and pulp being separated. The peel is cooked before being cut into strips and the pulp is smashed and pips are removed. Both are mixed back together in the correct proportions and go through the pasteurisation process. The product is subjected to as little heat as possible to ensure it tastes fresh and not cooked.
