E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of Redcurrant Puree. It is produced by using ripe redcurrants which are smashed to form a puree, then pasteurised. It is treated with as little heat as possible to give a fresh tasting product.
The brix level is normally between 10 – 16⁰ depending on which country it is sourced from and when it has been produced in the season. It is normally supplied Aseptic in Drums or Bag in Boxes.
Redcurrant Puree is used for the following applications –
- Jam
- Cocktails
- Smoothies
- Desserts
We source our Redcurrant Puree from Spain, UK and Poland however other countries of origin are available if required. By using Redcurrant Puree from the UK, you can label your product as ‘British’ if required.
We always source our Redcurrant Puree from suppliers which are BRC (or equivalent) approved and have also been audited by our own in-house technical team.
