Question – What is Strawberry Puree made of?
Answer – It is just made of Strawberries! However make sure you read the specification or label as some purees can contain added sugar.
Question – Is Strawberry Puree the same as Strawberry Jam?
Answer – Strawberry Puree is not the same as Strawberry Jam. Puree is just Strawberries which have been smashed to form a puree and then pasteurised. Nothing else has been added to the Puree whereas Strawberry Jam contains a lot more ingredients depending on the manufacturer.
Strawberry Jam is made by using IQF Fruit or Strawberry Puree and a lot of sugar is added during production as well as pectin which is a gelling agent. Most jam will contain either Lemon Juice or Citric Acid as some will contain an acidity regulator such as Sodium Citrate.
Question – Is Strawberry Puree the same as Strawberry Syrup?

Strawberry Syrup is a different product and often contains water, sugar, juice concentrates and flavourings. Fruit Syrup’s are often used in hot drinks, cocktails and milkshakes.
