E. E. & Brian Smith can trace its roots back to the mid-nineteenth century and has been involved in sourcing raw materials for the food industry for almost 150 years.
We are renown for our presence in the fruit juice industry, especially citrus juices, NFC's and citrus derivatives used for soft drinks and have established a major presence in the IQF fruit, pulp and purees sector.
Our technical director, Andy Charlton, monitors factory standards and performance from which we have gained ISO 9002 accreditation. We aim to work as a bridge between supplier and buyer to ensure the right product arrives at the right time.
Equally, we are certified by the Soil Association to guarantee the organic status of the product to our manufacturers. We are supplying a vast range of organic fruit juices, pulps and purees along with specialties such as organic capers.
In the current commercial environment one of the fundamental requirements to our customers is a responsive and flexible logistics service. We strive to offer this through a skilled and experienced team, liasing between our juice and other suppliers, and customers around the world to deliver on time and in full.
Juice blending and new product development is part of our improved customer service. Depending on the requirements we can either develop the product on site in our newly built NPD kitchen in Dorton or ask our partner company Passina to develop the blends. They also have a facility for producing the blends.
