The thing I love the most about working at E.E. & Brian Smith is the variety.
We work with such a diverse range of ingredients and wonderful suppliers, life at E.E. & Brian Smith is never dull!
When I’m not rabbiting on the phone about fruit, I am lucky enough to visit our top quality processors all around the world, learning about their capabilities.
Away from office, I am lucky enough to have a pear of lovely daughters, who are mischievous little pickles.
They are always up to various capers but am very grape-ful to have them in my life! They are the apple-of-my-eye…

Account Manager
I was fortunate to join the amazing EEBS team in 2019.
I love that we represent a large range of suppliers/customers who are more like family than commercial partners.
I learn more and more as each new season comes and goes, keeping things interesting and keeping me on my toes! Naturally outgoing, getting out and about visiting customers around the country and suppliers around the globe is the highlight of my role.
Originally from South Africa, the UK climate is something I am still getting used to but keeping fit and spending time with my family is a welcomed distraction to those cooler days. To my MD’s disgust, now and then I like to remind the team about our Rugby World Cup wins 😊
David Welch
Account Manager
Started at this incredibly welcoming company in 2019 as an Account Manager. First impressions are key for me and a converted barn sitting on an expansive plot of farmland is a nice touch; not to mention the people.
Being the fast paced industry we’re in, the day-to-day is demanding and ever changing. But it’s part of what makes Brian Smith the unique and exciting place it is. We’re able to travel the world in this role, and are much better at our jobs for it! (although the target to pick up some of the languages on the way is not going that well).
I’m a keen football player myself, but being the ripe old age of 33 means it’s 5-a-side once a week as opposed to 11-a-side every weekend. Yes I know Messi is still in his prime but I don’t eat enough greens.

I’m thrilled to be part of the EEBS family as an Account Manager since August 2023. From day one, I’ve been amazed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere within the team. It’s inspiring to see colleagues with diverse professional backgrounds coming together, always ready to lend a hand to a newcomer like myself.
With a background deeply rooted in the flavours industry, I am now eager to broaden my horizons and skills with such an innovative and dynamic company like EEBS.
Outside of work, I find solace in tending to my garden and embarking on new adventures, exploring new places.
Gemma Gibbons
Sales Manager
I joined E.E. & Brian Smith in 1996 as an office administrator, I now work in the sales team as a Sales Manager assisting the directors and dealing with any new enquiries that come in.
I very much enjoy working at E.E. & Brian Smith as each day is never the same, we deal in a wide range of products, and we are a very tight knit team.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family.

I was welcomed into the EEBS family in September 2021 and I moved to Bicester in July 2021 after being in Swindon for 27 years. My role is very varied and each day is totally different.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, painting, walking, cooking, the gym and spending time with friends and Family. I am also part of the Bicester LGBTQ+ pride committee.

I joined E.E. & Brian Smith in 2016 and loved working as a Account Manager for 6 years.
I am now working on our website and social media platforms and enjoy being able to share my product, supplier and customer knowledge.
Outside work I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
Michele Pocock
Logistics Manager
My career with E.E. & Brian Smith started as an ‘office junior’ at sweet seventeen, starting at the bottom and working my way up, learning all aspects of the business, deciding on my career path to my current position in charge of the shipping and logistics for the company.
I am the longest serving member of the company exceeding my former director who when he retired had served 31 years, mine currently being in my 40th year.
It still only seems like yesterday that I was young, free, single, opinionated, headstrong and with an emphasis that everything must be done right.
This is still the case today on how I work and lead my team and I was very pleased that just recently advised by this retired director that “he had chosen the right one”!
I am fortunate enough that my husband and children accept that E.E. & Brian Smith is part of my extended family and I even have sleepless nights / dreams with the “to do” list with things going around and around in my head for the next day solving problems and challenges that are set.
I am proud to have been a part of the making of what the company is today, honoured to serve and will continue watch and see it nurture further until I am unable.

I’m originally from Manchester, moved to Buckinghamshire 12 years ago and I started working at E.E. & Brian Smith in 2013.
I joined the company in a Sales Support role and then moved into Logistics.
E.E. & Brian Smith is a great place to work, each day is varied and the people who work here make the office an enjoyable place to be!
In my spare time I enjoy baking and experimenting with the fruit purees that we sell!

I’ve been fortunate enough to be a member of the team for just shy of 6 years, I’ve been promised parole but no news just yet.
We’re idyllically placed in the countryside and the wildlife and surrounding views are a photographers dream.
I love that we sell such a wide variety of products constantly expanding my knowledge. I’m a huge sports enthusiast, especially football and rugby.

I joined the company in September 2021 and have been welcomed into the EEBS family and feel like I have always been here. (in a good way!)
No day is the same and the job is always varied and interesting.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family and keeping fit.
