The Apple Crop in Europe this year is not as big as originally forecast back in August. Poland is Europe’s largest producer of Apples and their crop is looking to be down 35% compared to last year. The quality of the Apples they have is high which means they are storing more and putting less into industry for making products like Juice and Puree which we buy!
There is also not much carry over of Apple Juice from last year in store which means there is strong demand for juice and raw material prices have risen significantly compared to last year.
This means currently prices are currently firm and expected to stay like this for a while.
Apple Juice is still a relatively cheap juice with the current situation on Orange Juice. The demand for Apple Juice is expected to remain strong due to some people switching from using Orange Juice to Apple Juice.
We advise to try and cover any Apple product requirements you have soon to ensure availability and pricing isn’t going to get any cheaper for the foreseeable future.
