IQF Strawberry

E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of IQF Strawberry (Individually Quick Frozen). We can supply IQF Strawberries in the following formats –

• Whole
• Slice
• Dice

The IQF Whole Strawberry is produced by removing the calyx from the top of the strawberry. The strawberries are then washed and checked for defects. If required whole, they go through the freezing process ensuring each piece of fruit stays separate from each other ensuring a free-flowing product. If IQF Strawberry Dice is required, the Strawberries are cut into size needed and then frozen.

The sizes of Strawberry Dice we can supply in our range includes –

• 6x6mm
• 10x10mm
• 14x14mm
• 20x20mm

If IQF Strawberry Slices are required, the strawberries are cut into the slices then frozen.

We source our IQF Whole, Slices and Dice Strawberry from Spain or Morocco. If needed, we can source British Whole Strawberries, so you are able to declare ‘British’ on pack.

The IQF Strawberries can be used in the following applications –

• Jam
• Ice cream
• Desserts
• Smoothies
• Desserts such as fruit pies

All of the IQF Strawberry products are packaged into 20kg cartons ready for shipping once packed.

All our Strawberry products are sourced from a BRC (or equivalent) factory. We have been working with this factory for a long time as their agent within the UK.

Answer – The shelf life  is 24 months from production date.

Question – When is the best time to purchase IQF Strawberry?

Answer – The best time of year to purchase your contracts is April to July.

Question – What does IQF mean?

Answer – IQF ‘individually quick frozen’ means that the fruit is frozen very quickly at low temperatures. By it being frozen quickly the ice crystals do not form and the frozen fruit remains free flowing within the bag or carton.
