E.E. & Brian Smith are a supplier of IQF Bitter Orange. Bitter Oranges are grown in the Seville region in Spain. They have a bitter taste and are used in the production of marmalade in the UK.
The Bitter Oranges are washed, inspected and checked for defects before being frozen by the IQF line. Once frozen they are packed into cardboard cartons and put onto pallets.
We can supply Conventional or Organic IQF Oranges depending on your requirements. They are sourced from our supplier in Spain who we have been working with for many years as their agent in the UK.
Many of our customers use the IQF Bitter Orange when they want to make Marmalade and don’t want to use a premade Aseptic Pulp and Peel. Other customers might mix the Frozen Whole Oranges with the Aseptic Pulp and Peel depending on their recipe.
The main use in the UK for the Frozen Bitter Oranges would be in Marmalade production however most customers have changed to use the Aseptic Bitter Orange Pulp and Peel as its easier to store ambient and transport costs are less.
We are happy to supply samples, specifications and prices for more information please contact enquiries@eebriansmith.com or 01844 239500.
